If you are updating or reinstalling QuicKeys 1.5 or greater, you should first quit the QuicKeys application, move it to the Trash and log out before running the new version. - - - - - - What's New in 1.5 - A new Windows Shortcut lets you close, collapse, zoom and toggle the toolbar of windows. - New Menu Selection and Menu Clicks Shortcuts provide a quick way to select menu items in applications. - The new Multiple Clicks Shortcut creates a series of Click steps at one time. - The Click Shortcut has been redesigned and improved to be a powerful and configurable tool. - New Computer Shortcut options let you create Shortcuts to start Classic, stop Classic and start your screen saver. - The Server Shortcut has been improved to make it easier to create server Shortcuts. - The duration of a Pause Shortcut can now be set to less than a second. The maximum duration is now limited to one hour. - Open Items Shortcuts no longer incorrectly report errors when an application is launched. - - - - - - Revisions 1.5.4 - Improved support for menu selections. A "Show menus while performing menu action" option has also been added to Menu Selection Shortcuts to improve compatibility with more applications. 1.5.3 - Addressed some issues with Mac OS X 10.2. 1.5.2 - Addressed an issue with Mac OS X 10.1 where Shortcuts scoped to applications with numerical file name extensions would not work. - Fixed a bug when displaying the Select Menu dialog in the Menu Selection Shortcut when more than one application with the same name was running. 1.5.1 - An issue when inserting text into some Carbon applications was addressed. - - - - - - QuicKeys X Known Issues - Pausing and resuming Shortcuts may not, on rare occasion, function as expected. - Menu Selection Shortcuts may not recognize some applicationsê menus because those applications do not follow conventional Mac OS X standards. If you create a Menu Selection Shortcut and it does not work try a Menu Clicks Shortcut. Refer to the QuicKeys 1.5 Addendum for more information. - If the Hot Key for a Type Text Shortcut contains the same character as one of the first few characters to be typed, that character may not get typed. Change the Type Text Shortcut option from Type Text to Insert Text or insert a Pause step immediately before the Type Text step. - Tooltips for QuicKeys toolbar buttons do not display on Mac OS X 10.2. - - - - - - Mac OS X Known Issues The following QuicKeys related issues are due to limitations in the current Mac OS X operating system. - If you include QuicKeys in your Login Items list, it is recommended that you place QuicKeys last in the list.
